Ending Gender Based Violence-Bali Project
We are accepting proposals for the formation of a gender-based violence program in Bali, Indonesia which will help educate and support the local community about domestic violence and women’s rights. We are seeking to support an Indonesian or global NGO or philanthropic organization in developing programming that would aid and empower survivors of gender based violence in Bali, Indonesia while working to end this violence.
Organizations may be based in Indonesia or elsewhere, but must be conducting or have the ability to conduct ongoing work locally on the ground in Bali. Such an organization should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience serving and treating survivors of gender-based violence and/or working on related issues of gender based violence prevention and education, trauma recovery, and women’s empowerment
- Established trust and connections in their local communities
- A proven track record of success
- A commitment to providing sustainable and comprehensive support to women and survivors of gender based violence including mental health services, legal advice, counseling, and community outreach and education.
If selected, support would be in the range of $25,000 to $30,000 USD for an initial year of programming with potential opportunities for renewal.
The Foundation is requesting a Letter of Interest at this time. Those organizations selected to advance to the next round of evaluation will be sent a request for a comprehensive proposal.
In one page, the Letter of Interest should include 1) a brief description of the organization, including organization vision, mission, and scope of existing activities and 2) a description of programming to be developed or continued with the support of the Foundation. Letters should be accompanied by proof of the organization’s non-profit status.
